Examples
Example A — Guayabera shirt production
Goal: Show Sleeve Vents Fabric only when Sleeve Vent = Yes; update Collar Style option images.
- Object attributes → Product line: Guayabera Shirt → edit Sleeve Vents Fabric.
- Set group, garment part: Top, position, upload images, and turn Active on.
- Open Sleeve Vents Fabric and turn Active on for each option you sell.
- Conditional Logic:
When: Sleeve Vent Equal To Yes
Action: Show attribute(s) → Sleeve Vents Fabric (mark Required if needed) - QA in the configurator:
Yes → it’s visible with options
No → it’s hidden
Example B — Suit jacket production
Goal: Add two options to Pocket Style and set their order; show Buttonhole Thread Color only when Functional Cuffs = Yes.
- Object attributes → Product line: Suit Jacket.
- Edit Pocket Style → confirm options Patch Pocket and Jetted with Flap → set labels, images, and positions → turn Active on for the attribute and both options.
- Edit Buttonhole Thread Color → ensure options are set and Active.
- Conditional Logic:
When: Functional Cuffs Equal To Yes
Action: Show attribute(s) → Buttonhole Thread Color - QA in the configurator to confirm order and visibility.
Best practices
- Use buyer-friendly labels.
- Add simple images for options to speed up decisions.
- Keep order logical: most-used first; related items together.
- Only activate options you intend to sell.
- Capture dependencies with Conditional Logic.
Troubleshooting
- Can’t find the new item: check the product line filter, use search, then confirm the item is Active.
- Attribute shows but no choices: open the attribute and activate its options.
- Order looks wrong: edit and adjust position for the attribute and its options, then save.
Related how-tos
- Conditional Logic: Show/hide attributes or specific options based on selections.
- Style Templates: Build presets (e.g., Elegant, Classic) for faster ordering.
